secret garden

I just love my new saw that i bought just the other day, it's perfect for cutting out small pieces, These earrings measure 2cm, i have hand sawn out all the centre pieces. Hopefully i will list these today on my Esty shop. Hope everyone is having a good Easter, I have a few days holidays from work which is just great, but there will be no choc eggs for me, seeing as i'm on a diet once again.

My new purchases

I ordered a few bits and bobs at the weekend, I ordered this knew concepts saw frame, I have read great reviews on it so I thought that i would spend the money on a decent saw for a change. I have seen loads of new tools on Rio grande which i am going to purchase hopefully over the next few weeks, just wish we had a great site in this country, but i'm willing to pay the shipping charges for some decent tools. I have lost my mojo of late but hoping to find it again, I have signed up to do a trade fair in September at Glasgow SECC, so i really need to work on a few designs and get my act together. I was enjoying the gorgeous weather we have been having here in Scotland, but today i woke up pulled back the curtains to a snow blizzard. This time last week i was strolling along the beach with the dog wearing a vest top, crop trousers and flip flops and now i'm back to woolly hats and wellies. Will be back soon with some pics of my new creation using my new saw.x

I have been going through all my beads lately seeing as i seem only to make jewellery using either sterling silver, brass or copper, so i have decided that i will list some of my torch fired enameled beads on my etsy site, i have made up little sets, prices are ranging from £11 to £16 so if you fancy some head over to my etsy site at www.silvermeadows.etsy.com. Thanks again Eve

Here is a little pair of earrings that i made at my workshop today, These measure 1 1/2" with the ear wire. I have cut out little flowers in the centre of the earring, then i doomed the flower, then i soldered it back onto the earring. i used my dremel to add some texture, I added a little liver of sulpher to darken the flower and part of the bottom of the earring, Then i popped them into the polisher. I have been looking at tools this week, I just love rio grande and otti frei, for their tools, just wish we had places like them in the UK, So I think that i'm going to purchase a few bits and bobs as even with the delivery and tax it works out cheaper than tools in this country.

Yahoo its the weekend

Here is another piece of my bridal range, I made this a few months back, which i had already added a pic to my flickr site but i did'nt like the first style what i made as it was straight, so i decided to remake this again and make it more curved. Last night i added a few more pieces to my etsy site, which i really need to be adding to more often. I am hoping to be ordering a new range of packaging hopefully within the next month, plus i really need to research on getting into doing some trade fairs, as i feel doing the small craft fairs, im not doing as well as people just want to buy pieces at lower prices. Hope you all have a lovely weekend .
