More pics

 Finally got around to taking some more pictures of some new pieces, here is a few, The ring is made using sterling silver wire with resin in the centre, The jigsaw pendant is hand pierced using copper and brass sheet. The little spiral earrings at the bottom has 24ct gold leaf fused onto them using the ancient technique called Keum Boo. I have also just got the keys to my very own work shop, this is just a few miles from where I live, This is why i have been buying loads of tools, mind you i wasn't happy yesterday as i paid for a delivery to come and waiting all day and yes you have quested it didn't turn up so they better refund my money. I have taken a few pics of my new place and i will post the before and after pics as i have a bit of work to do to it before i finally move in. Hope everyone has had a great weekend, even though the weather is horrible it seems like winter here but whats new for Scotland.

Big happy smile on my face, here is some of my new tools that i got today from Rio grande, still waiting on two more deliveries from Otto Frei and Sutton tools. I got some silver which i have been needing for a while, along with textured plates, swanstorm disc cutters, new hammers and stone setting punches. I have been sharing bench space in Edinburgh for a year and a half which i have loved and met some other wonderful jewellers, but i have got myself a little place of my own, so this is why i'm buying loads of new tools that i will need for myself. I will keep you all posted with pics, as my new place need loads of work done, and hopefully i will add some pics of new jewellery some.

Why do the weekends go so fast, I always feel that i finsh work on a Friday then within a blink of an eye it's Monday morning again, then back to work again, if only i could win the lottery (I wish) I did manage to head up to my workshop at the weekend and made a few pieces and here is a pair of earrings that i made, i fused some 24ct gold leaf onto them and have embossed a leaf texture pattern, I have made a few other pieces which you can see them on my Flickr page. Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter and not eating too much chocolate, I spend a few hours up at my workshop yesterday and i made these little jigsaw earrings, these measure 1 1/2" and each little piece measure 8mm and each piece has been hand pierced from 0.7m sterling silver sheet. Hopefully be adding these to my Etsy site tomorrow.

I just love my new saw that i bought just the other day, it's perfect for cutting out small pieces, These earrings measure 2cm, i have hand sawn out all the centre pieces. Hopefully i will list these today on my Esty shop. Hope everyone is having a good Easter, I have a few days holidays from work which is just great, but there will be no choc eggs for me, seeing as i'm on a diet once again.

My new purchases

I ordered a few bits and bobs at the weekend, I ordered this knew concepts saw frame, I have read great reviews on it so I thought that i would spend the money on a decent saw for a change. I have seen loads of new tools on Rio grande which i am going to purchase hopefully over the next few weeks, just wish we had a great site in this country, but i'm willing to pay the shipping charges for some decent tools. I have lost my mojo of late but hoping to find it again, I have signed up to do a trade fair in September at Glasgow SECC, so i really need to work on a few designs and get my act together. I was enjoying the gorgeous weather we have been having here in Scotland, but today i woke up pulled back the curtains to a snow blizzard. This time last week i was strolling along the beach with the dog wearing a vest top, crop trousers and flip flops and now i'm back to woolly hats and wellies. Will be back soon with some pics of my new creation using my new saw.x
