Here is one of the rings that I have made at my workshop this weekend. I have set this Chinese turquoise oval cabochon along with a 4mm Peridot, I really like this style of ring and it's really comfortable to wear, so I think I might make a few more in this style, but using different stones. I have also been working on a few commission pieces this week, so they are all finished and went in the post yesterday. I will be starting on some collection pieces this week for the trade fair that i'm doing at the end of September, this is my first trade fair so i'm not very sure what to expect, If anyone has any advice for me I would be very grateful. Hopefully I will be posting more pics in the next few weeks of more new pieces. Will i'm now off to watch peter kay on the tv, I just think he is so funny.

West end fair
Here is my stall at the fair that I did for 4 days at the west end fair for the festival in Edinburgh. This was the first time that I have done this fair, and I was really pleased with the sales that I had, plus with all the commission pieces that I have to make. I did have to order alot of silver yesterday, as I have to get some collections made for a trade fair that I have in the end of September in Glasgow, so I better get my skates on. Hope you have all had a great weekend.

Weekend work
Well that's my first week off my holidays over with, I have been up at the workshop trying to get some more pieces ready for the fair, that i am doing in Edinburgh west end for the festival, I will be there from 16-19 August. I have been rushing about ordering a new banner, boxes etc, just keep my fingers crossed that i make some sales. i have been making a few pieces with butterflies as you can see from the pics that i have posted.
I made this spinner ring today, still needs to be polsihed up more, i quite like making these rings. I do really need to be ordering more silver, I have a wish list of tools that i still want, but as they say Rome was'nt built in a day.
The weather has been quite good this last week, even managed to get to the beach twice, even if it was just taking the dog to run about in the sea.
Kids go back to school on Thursday, it has been a fast 6 1/2 weeks holidays for them, I have all their new clothes bought, Will be a nightmare to get them to go to bed before 3am or 4am.
I made these drop earrings using these gorgeous lampwork beads from Isabelle Anderson from flame and glass, I have quite a fair stash of beads that I bought a while back and not been using much of late, so i thought i would try and introduce some beads back into my designs.

More work this weekend
Well i'm off work for two whole weeks, (yahoo) so yesterday I went up to Edinburgh seeing it was a lovely sunning day for a change. The festival has statred, so we watched some street acts then sat in princess street gardens for a while, which was nice and relaxing after having walked for about 4 hours, I even had a nice cold lager. Today I was at my work shop for a while and I made this ring, the width of this band is 1cm, I have added this gorgeous flower ribbon.
I also made this gorgeous ring, The lampwork cabochon was made by Glittering Prize, by Trudi Doherty, I also made the matching earrings which are in the picture below.
I have made a few pieces using this design, I have made earrings to match the pendant above all set with 4mm blue topaz
These earrings are made using my rolling mill to emboss this pattern onto the silver. I have listed a few pieces to my etsy shop tonight so please feel free to have a look. I am now going to enjoy a nice chilled glass of rose wine and finish off reading my book, before i head of to bed, so i wish you all a good night. x

Pieces that i have been working on tonight.
decided to take a quick snap of what i have on my work bench tonight. I have made quite a few pieces this week, but it's always nearly after 9pm when i head home so it's to dark to take any pics, That is my job over the weekend. i got these lovely lampwork cabs yesterday in the post from Trudi Doherty from Glittering prize. She had made beads like this and i loved the colours in them, so i asked her nicely if she could make them again but into cabs, and heres what i got, love them, The pendant is made from sterling silver wire with a 4mm blue topaz set into tube. i have earrings in the same style, I'm trying to build up stock for the fair that i'm doing in two weeks today. Well i wish you all a goodnight, sweet dreams.
